Schuh - Stepping up to the Email Marketing Challenge with Emailvision
Schuh, the UK shoe retailer opened their first high street store back in 1981. Since then they have grown significantly and now have a retail network of Schuh stores and Republic concessions across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Their organisational philosophy is to provide aspirational but accessible fashion footwear, sold in a unique and exciting retail environment at prices which represent value for money.
Schuh’s innovative approach is mirrored on their online store which has an emphasis on providing their customers with fresh content. The website is the largest pure online footwear retailer in the UK, with approximately 210,000 visits per week. Schuh also operate through partner sites such as shoe-shop.com, vivaladiva.co.uk and eBay.
Off on the Right Foot with Emailvision
Email marketing at Schuh began about 5 years ago as an in-house system and functionality. In order to grow the database and expedite the email campaign process, this was outsourced to an email service provider. In 2008 Schuh looked for another supplier who could provide them with a more robust system offering them the potential to undertake SMS mobile campaigns. Their decision to work with Emailvision gave them this functionality with Campaign Commander™ and gave them a user-friendly and intuitive system.
The Schuh team undertook the Campaign Commander™ training with their Emailvision account management team and began using the system immediately for their email marketing.
